Spring Skincare Must-Haves

Spring is finally here and it’s time to shed the winter blues and feel the sunlight hit your skin. As we leave the colder months behind our skin’s needs begin to shift. Suddenly, your skin isn’t as dry, but now you need to adjust your skincare routine to accommodate for warmer weather and sun exposure. It’s time to give your skincare routine a spring cleaning for the exciting months ahead. 


Cleanse

A good cleanser is always a staple in any skincare routine. As the weather starts to get warmer, you may want to look for a lighter cleanser that will help remove oil and sweat.  Antioxidants will be key for keeping your skin hydrated and in balance. For example, a cleanser like the Yeon Lotus Leaf Milky Foam Cleanser works to hydrate and purify your complexion. It’s infused with skin-balancing lotus flower extract and restores moisture for a smoother, more radiant appearance. Exfoliate

Because the climate during the winter can be harsh, our skin has built up layers of dead skin, environmental toxins and other impurities. It’s time to gently exfoliate the skin to remove the buildup and reveal bright, glowing skin. Consider exfoliating cleansers, masks or scrubs to gently help remove daily skin stressors. Great for all skin types, but be sure to not overdo it! Try adding exfoliation to your routine just a few times per week.    


Moisturize

Because the cold tends to dry skin out, a heavier moisturizer is helpful during the winter. But as the season’s change you may want to opt for a lighter moisturizer to keep your skin balanced. Make sure to use at least SPF 30 which is the widely recommended minimum protection against UVA/UVB rays.
